FIVE PATTERNS solo performances were presented by the MA Dance students at Oslo National Academy of the Arts in February 2020.

For the research period, Laiho and the other performers were given a written score by Janne-Camilla Lyster. Lyster wrote the score especially for these performances. Laiho explored the score for five weeks and formed an interpretation of it as a solo piece. Her interpretation was created through exploring different bodily manifestations of the text, finding the different weights of the words within the score, and by using methods created by Lyster. During the process, Laiho collaborated with costume designer Karianne Caspara Haagensen, who created her own interpretation of the score in relation to Laiho's explorations in the form of a costume.

The other solos in this event were made and performed by Edwin Cabascango, Putli Hellesen and Hanna Våge Skjeggestad.
